Drive Mirroring
You can choose to use hardware to mirror your boot disk in the hot-swap cage
(RAID Level 1). To do this you can use integrated NetRAID, and configure the
NetServer appropriately.
NOTE RAID Level 0, 3, or 5 also can be used with three or four
drives.
To configure the LT 6000r as RAID, press [F2] to enter the Setup Utility when the
NetServer boots, and enable NetRAID. Configure the RAID level according to the
instructions given in Integrated HP NetRAID Controller Configuration Guide.
Boot Device Priority
By default, the LT 6000r searches for bootable devices in the following order:
1. IDE CD-ROM drive with a bootable CD-ROM
2. Flexible disk drive with a bootable flexible disk
3. Embedded SCSI controller or integrated HP NetRAID controller. By
default, SCSI channel A precedes channel B. The SCSI channel can be
changed to B via the setup utility. On a SCSI bus, the boot order follows in
ascending order: 00, 01, 02, 03, etc. The boot order remains the same,
regardless of channel.
4. PCI Slots in descending order: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1
NOTE The boot order can be changed using the SETUP utility (press
[F2] during the boot process).
