10. Push the accessory board’s edge connector into the slot’s connector.
11. Close the retainer.
12. Secure the accessory board by rotating the locking lever counter-clockwise
to the hold the retainer.
13. Close the accessory board access panel.
14. If the installed accessory board requires an external connection or a
connection to the I/O board, ensure that the cable is properly connected.
Refer to the documentation that came with the accessory board for
instructions.
15. Reconnect the power cords and cables.
16. Power on the NetServer, and restart the network operating system,
according to your NOS instructions.
NOTE All Hot Swap slots power on when the locking levers are
closed, and the HP NetServer recognizes all new boards
when it reboots, regardless of the presence of a driver or a
PCI Hot-Plug Utility.
If the PCI accessory board requires a driver (non-hot-plug-
compliant or hot-plug compliant) that is not loaded during
NOS installation, you must load the driver according to the
respective NOS driver installation process before you can use
the board. Refer to PCI Hot Plug Help on the HP NetServer
Navigator CD-ROM for more hot-plug information.
