Introduction
This document defines the supported Microsoft Windows
2000 Datacenter Server configurations with the
HP Netserver LXr 8500 and HP XP256/512/48. These configurations minimize single points of failure
(SPOF), provide high availability, and have been certified by Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft

Type of SPUs HP Netserver LXr 8500
Each node is the same SPU, with the same CPU clock speeds and cache
sizes. Mixed stepping of CPUs with the same processor speed and cache
size is supported if the stepping differs by not more than one level.
Number of CPUs (2-8) and main memory sizes per node may also vary.
