Customer-Replaceable Units (CRUs)
Many of the components of the 45xx modular disk subsystem are customer-replaceable
units (CRUs) which can be removed and replaced without using special tools.

2. Two modules (455mod8 or 455DS) can be installed in this frame or pedestal.
Caution. You can use the procedures in this manual to remove and replace failed CRUs, but
do not try to service a removed CRU. Servicing is by replacement only.
