Components of a 45xx Disk Module
Table 1-2 lists Tandem part numbers for 45xx modular disk subsystem CRUs. The
product numbers for the 6760 adapter and part numbers for the fiber-optic cables are
provided in the 6760 ServerNet/DA Manual.
Components of a 45xx Disk Module
Each module consists of (see Figure 1-2 on page 1-5):

A front section containing:

Up to eight 4560, 4570, 4580, or 4590 disk drives (in any combination)
°
One midplane printed wiring board (PWB) that connects the disk drives to the
back-end boards (BEBs) and power supplies

A back section containing:
°
Two small computer system interface (SCSI) back-end boards (BEB) in a
455mod8 disk module

Two power supplies in a 455mod8 disk module

°
One fan CRU containing two fans
1. There is only one BEB and one power supply in the 455DS disk module
