Using the Cartridge Magazine

The cartridge magazine is a removable plastic assembly that holds seven cartridge

tapes for automatic loading and unloading. Each ACL is shipped with one cartridge

magazine (you can order more from Compaq). The magazine rests on a spring-loaded

carriage at the base of the ACL. A handle on the magazine lets you lift it out of the

ACL and use it to transport up to seven cartridges. Figure 4-3 shows the cartridge

magazine.
