Connecting a SCSI Cable to the MFC RS-232/SCSI BIC

Each end of the SCSI cable has a 50-pin cable connector. One end attaches to the

MFC RS-232/SCSI BIC, and the other end attaches to the uncapped SCSI port at the

rear of the tape drive CRU.

Install the cable connector to the MFC RS-232/SCSI BIC as follows:

1. Plug the connector at one end of the cable into the J5 connector on the MFC

RS-232/SCSI BIC.

2. Latch the connector clips to secure the connector (see Figure 3-20).
