Press Enter to select DLT1. Notice that, in Figure 6-25, two changes occur in the
display:
•
The * reappears at the beginning of line 2, indicating that a selection has been made.
•
The now moves to line 4, indicating that a destination has been selected.
Press Enter to select Slot 2 as the destination. Note that there is an
at the end of line 4.
Additional choices are available because 1) a drive has been selected as the source, so
the destination must be a slot, and 2) all of the slots except Slot 1 are empty, so a list of
remaining empty slots appears below Slot 2. To select Slot 4, scroll down until Slot 4
appears on line 4. Press Enter to select Slot 4. In response, the confirmation screen in
Figure 6-26
appears.\
As the confirmation screen indicates, to execute the load or unload, press Enter. If the
confirmation screen does not show the intended source and destination, press Escape to
return to the To entry screen.
When Enter is pressed, the screen shown in Figure 6-27
appears. If the source were a
slot, the word “Load” message would appear in place of the “Unload” message on
line 4.
When the load or unload operation is finished, the Default Screen reappears. Note that in
Figure 6-28
, the screen has been updated to show that there is now no cartridge in DLT1,
and Slot 4 is full.
