Value Range Description
NOCARRFATAL 20 0 0, 255 Specifies that the modem status is reported
immediately when a modem error occurs (loss of CTS
or DCD), and the link goes to the disconnect state. (See
also SWINCARRIER.)
NOREJ 14 0 0, 255 Specifies that Reject (REJ) frames are not transmitted
and that receiving a REJ frame results in the
transmission of a Frame Reject (FRMR) frame.
OPTIONA 45 0 0, 255 Specifies that Option_Two is enabled when bit 1 of the
OPTIONA byte is set (all other bits are reserved). If bit
1 is set, the protocol module retries sending the SNRM
instead of forcing the local station into the DISC state
when a DM is received in response to a SNRM. Use
Option_Two with Token Ring controllers.
OPTIONB 46 0 0, 255 An unasigned byte in the configuration block. All bits in
this byte are reserved.
POLL 12 1 0, 255 Specifies that periodic polls are sent to a remote station
when the link is idle. POLL enables a heartbeat RR
frame for ABM and ARM support at IDLETIMER
intervals when the link is idle.
RNR_TIMER
(See Note 3 below.)
7 0 0 through 255 Specifies a timeout for RNR in seconds. A 0 value
specifies an infinite timer.
SREJ 13 0 0, 255 Specifies that selective reject (SREJ) frames are
transmitted and received.
STATIONS 5 1 1 through 254 Specifies the maximum number of stations to be
supported and determines the space allocated for level-
2 control blocks. For ABM, the value is forced to 1.
SUPPRESSRR
(See Note 3 below.)
43 0 0, 255 Specifies that the sending of idle RR frames and that
the initial RR exchange after a mode setting sequence
are suppressed. When SUPPRESSRR is off, initial RR
exchange occurs, and idle RR occurs if POLL is on.
SWINCARRIER 21 1 0, 255 Specifies that the link is available for transmission when
the DCD signal is dropped. This parameter applies to
full-duplex lines.
SWITCHED 18 0 0, 255 Specifies that switched-line modem operation is
selected.
SWOUTCARRIER 22 0 0, 255 Specifies that RTS will be raised and CTS awaited
before the station begins transmission and that the RTS
and CTS signals will drop after transmission of a frame
with the poll/final bit on. This modifier applies to full-
duplex lines.
3 Not configurable in SYSGEN. This parameter can be set or modified only with a SET CONFIGURATION request.
