(2) FETCH
CONFIGURATION
The FETCH CONFIGURATION request and response are used to check the current
values of the configuration block in the LIU. Your application can use the information
returned in the response to check the configuration before changing it with the
(1) SET CONFIGURATION request.
Request The FETCH CONFIGURATION request causes the protocol module to return the
current values for the line-configuration options.
The request buffer format is:
Function := 2
Modifier := 0
Request ID := A unique value from 1 to 32767
determined by the application
Text Out := 0
Text In := 40
Text := None
Response The FETCH CONFIGURATION response is the expected answer to the FETCH
CONFIGURATION request. It contains a copy of the configuration block stored in the
LIU. For a description of the parameters returned by the response, see Table 6-2.
For a list of the status codes and their definitions, see “Status Code Definitions” at the
end of this section.
The response buffer format is:
Response := 2
Status := 0 if the text field contains the
configuration block, otherwise a code for
the error that occurred
Request ID := The same as in the request
Text Out := 0
Text In := 46
