(3) START TRACE The START TRACE request and response is used by CMI to trace and report line
traffic and Level 1 or Level 2 Protocol events. The START TRACE request and
response use function code 3. Your application should not make a request with a
function code of 3.
The CMI TRACE facility offers all the capability of this request and response, as well
as a readable report format. For information about the facility, refer to the
Communications Management Interface (CMI) Operator Reference Manual.
