Normal Outgoing Call
When the CONNECT request is used for a normal outgoing call, it causes
ADCCP/X21 to initiate a normal call establishment procedure.
The request buffer format for a normal outgoing call is:
Function := 82
Modifier := 2
Request ID := A unique value from 1 through 32767,
determined by the application
Text Out := 9 + length of selection signal sequence
Text In := 10 + length of DCE provided information
Text := Reserved for ADCCP :Eight bytes
Set these bytes to 0
Selection signal length :Byte
This value can range
from 0 through 127
Selection signal sequence :Character
string
Direct Call
When the CONNECT request is used to make a direct call, it causes ADCCP/X21 to
initiate a direct call. The request format for this call is the same as that for a normal
call request, except that your application does not include an address in the selection
signal sequence.
The request buffer format for a direct call is:
Function := 82
Modifier := 2
Request ID := a unique value from 1 to 32767,
determined by the application.
Text Out := 9
Text In := 10 + length DCE-provided information
Text := Reserved for ADCCP :Eight bytes
