Selective Direct Call
When the CONNECT request is used to make a selective direct call, it tells
ADCCP/X21 to initiate a selective direct call. Your application must include the
selective direct call number in the text field.
The request buffer format for a selective direct call is:
Function := 82
Modifier := 3
Request ID := A unique value from 1 through 32767,
determined by the application
Text Out := 9
Text In := 10 + length of DCE-provided information
Text := Reserved for ADCCP :Eight bytes
Set these bytes to 0.
Selective Direct Call Number :Byte
This number ranges from 1 through 7
Facility Registration and Facility Cancellation
When the CONNECT request is used for Facility Registration, it invokes special
facilities, such as call redirection, on networks that provide them. When the
CONNECT request is used for facility cancellation, it cancels a previously invoked
registration.
Neither of these types of CONNECT requests establishes a connection. The DCE
completes the request with a call progress signal, then signals ”clear.” The call
progress signal indicates whether the request was successful. ADCCP/X21 then
completes your facility registration or cancellation request with a CONNECT response
containing Status 100, Error Detail 46. The Netinfo sequence contains the call progress
signal that was returned by the DCE.
The request buffer format is:
Function := 82
Modifier := 2
Request ID := A unique value from 1 through 32767,
determined by the application
Text Out := 9 + length of Registration/Cancellation
block
Text In := 10 + length of Netinfo sequence
Text := Reserved for ADCCP :Eight bytes
