Each option is associated with one or more consecutive bytes in the X.21 configuration
block. The contents of each byte or sequence of bytes determines the value of the
associated parameter.
ACCEPT CHARGES
ACCEPT CHARGES specifies whether or not ADCCP/X21 will accept charging
information from the DCE after a connection is cleared. The default value, 0, specifies
that no charging information will be accepted. If you want ADCCP/X21 to accept
charging information, set the value to 255.
Note ADCCP/X21 will deliver call charges to your application in a DISCONNECT response only if your X.21
network provides this information. In some X.21 networks, you can issue a standing request to the
network provider: always deliver charges after a connection is cleared. In some networks, you may need
to request charging information in the selection signal sequence each time you initiate a call with a
CONNECT request.
CIRCUIT-SWITCHED
CIRCUIT-SWITCHED specifies whether the line is a leased or a circuit-switched
service. The default value is 0, which specifies leased service. If your line is connected
to a circuit-switched service, you must change the value to 255, switched service,
before issuing a START OPERATION request. The value of this parameter must be
either 0 or 255. If you specify any other value, the request is completed with a status
code 97, Error Detail 27.
