 Writing Applications that Use 6100 BSC
 CONTROL Request and Response
 The CONTROL request can be used for any of the following
 functions:
 • To CONNECT the line by raising DTR and optionally
 waiting for DSR.
 • To DISCONNECT the line by dropping DTR and optionally
 waiting for DSR to drop.
 • To send a TTD sequence, indicating unreadiness to
 send data.
 • To send a WACK sequence, indicating unreadiness to
 receive data.
 • To send an EOT sequence, either to decline the chance
 to bid for the line, or to reset the line after an
 error.
 The request buffers for these functions differ only in the
 modifier field, as demonstrated below.
