Writing Applications that Use 6100 BSC
NOTE
If a WRITEREAD request completes with a retry error (status
code 162, 172, 173, 175, or 177), the line may be in WRITE or
CONTROL state, depending on when the error occurred. Do not
repeat the WRITEREAD request; rather send an EOT and issue a
bid or prepare to receive one. If the line bid fails, there
is probably an equipment malfunction.
The retry count has an impact on the number of retry errors.
Set a retry count that is high enough to accommodate the
equipment you're using; remember that you can change the
count online with the SETMODE request.
