6100 BSC Concepts and Context
With the multileaving option, stations can exchange
conversational replies without restriction. Conceivably, two
stations could exchange text replies exclusively. Figure 1-19
illustrates this behavior.
A station that receives a conversational reply can assume that
its message was received without error. If the message had an
error, the station that received it would send an ENQ in reply,
and wait. A conversational reply is allowed only if the message
was received without error.
