Open SCSI Devices
The 6762 S-SAC can also control Open SCSI devices. For information about 
integrating Open SCSI devices into your system, see the Open SCSI Integrator’s 
Manual for Himalaya S-Series Servers.
Limitations 
Consider these limitations when planning your configuration of 6760 adapters and 
devices: 
•
Disk Paths. The primary path and backup path of a 45xx disk drive must both be 
connected to 6760 adapters within the same enclosure. 
•
Disk Drives. When configuring 45xx disk drives, you cannot change the processors 
that control these external disk drives. The processors that reside in the group 
where the 6760 adapter is installed are the only processors that are allowed to 
control the disks. 
However, the two 6760 adapters attached to the two halves of a mirrored disk 
volume can occupy different enclosures, if the disk volume itself is mirrored 
between different enclosures. This means that the primary path and backup path
