Fill Out an Installation Form
Fill Out an Installation Form
The particular installation form you fill out depends on what device you want to attach.
You are authorized by HP to reproduce blank forms provided in Appendix B, Blank
Installation Forms, only for configuration purposes. Examples of completed installation
forms are shown in this subsection.
When a 6760 adapter is installed, it is automatically assigned a name in the
configuration database that is a concatenation of the following:
The name of the storage subsystem manager ($ZZSTO)
The type of adapter (SNDA)
The location (group, module, slot) where the adapter is installed
For example, the name of the 6760 adapter installed in slot 53 of the group 01
enclosure is:
$ZZSTO.#SNDA.GRP-1.MOD-1.SLOT-53
This name is used in SCF STATUS and INFO commands and is displayed in the
resulting reports of these commands.
No configuration is necessary for the 6760 adapter. When you install a 6760 adapter in
an appropriate slot, the adapter is automatically configured.
Figure 2-2 on page 2-7 is an example of a filled-out 6760 Adapter and Modular Disk
Subsystem Configuration Form. Note the following about this form:
The cable ID tag contains the adapter location and disk module ID.
The primary and mirror disks are in separate disk drive modules.
