3. Push the cable connector into the appropriate SAC port on the adapter. Make sure
that the connector is properly seated by pushing on the connector again, and then
tighten the thumbscrews (see Figure 2-8).
4. Label both ends of the SCSI cable so that when cables are removed in the future,
you can determine the proper location of each cable. For example, if the cable
connects SAC 1 of the adapter in slot 54 of processor enclosure 02 to tape drive
$TAPE00, you could make the following label:
G02S54SAC1TP00 (Group 02, Slot 54, SAC 1, tape drive $TAPE00)
5. When all the cables are connected to the adapter, remove the ESD wriststrap from
your wrist and disconnect the grounding clip. Store the ESD kit in a convenient
location.
6. Use a cable tie to secure the SCSI cables to a cable support below the adapter
(see Figure 2-7).
