INFO ADAPTER Detailed Report Information
The following subsections describe the fields displayed by the INFO ADAPTER,
DETAIL command, as shown in Example 3-1 on page 3-5. The first line of the report
displays the name of the adapter whose detailed configuration information was
requested.
Adapter Information
The following information is listed in the beginning of a detailed report such as the one
displayed in Example 3-1 on page 3-5.
ServerNet Addressable Controllers:
The following information is listed in a detailed report such as the one displayed in
Example 3-1 on page 3-5 for each ServerNet addressable controller (SAC) located on
the adapter. (Information is displayed differently for some adapter types.)
Configured Devices (group: n, module: n):
The following information is listed in a detailed report such as the one displayed in
Example 3-1
on page 3-5 for each configured device on the adapter.
Access List shows the processor numbers of the processors that can access
this adapter.
Adapter Name shows the logical name of the adapter. This name is based on
the adapter location and is determined by the system when the
adapter is automatically added to the system configuration
database.
Location (Group,
Module, Slot)
shows where the adapter is located.
SAC shows the name of the SAC. This name is derived by combining
the adapter type and the physical locations of the adapter and
SAC.
SAC ID shows the SCSI address of the SAC in the adapter. For SCSI
devices, this address is either 6 or 7. For fiber-optic devices, the
SAC ID is the same value used in the Subdevice field.
Subdevice identifies the physical location of the SAC within the adapter.
There can be up to four SACs installed on the 6760 adapter, and
this number is determined automatically by the position of the
SAC in the adapter (location 1, 2, 3, or 4).
Usage shows the type of device controlled by the SAC.
Slot shows the slot number of the adapter controlling the device.
Type shows the type of the device.
