AutoSelect shows whether the disk can be automatically considered for
file placement by a virtual disk process. AutoSelect does not
apply to virtual disks.
AutoStart This attribute does not apply to external disk drives. For
details about this attribute, see SCF Reference Manual for the
Storage Subsystem.
CBPoolLen shows the maximum amount of memory (in 128-kilobyte units)
that can be allocated for open-related data structures on the
disk. The amount of memory available for these structures
limits the total number of concurrent opens allowed on the
disk.
FSTCaching shows whether the free-space table (FST) for a disk is
updated in memory (ON) or on disk (OFF). FSTCaching,
when ON, can increase performance. The FST is always
rebuilt from disk when the disk is started.
FullCheckpoints shows whether the validity of data written to the disk is being
protected by a full-block checkpoint (applies to nondirectory
structured files only). For mirrored volumes, refer also to
SerialWrites on page 3-15. Options are:
ENABLED Checkpoint protection is used only when serial
writes are not performed. (This is the default
value.)
DISABLED Checkpoint protection is never used to protect
the validity of data written to the disk.
FORCED Checkpoint protection is always used, whether
or not a serial write is performed.
For other technical details, see the command section of the
SCF Reference Manual for the Storage Subsystem.
