Example: STATUS ADAPTER Detailed Report for
Disk Drives
STATUS ADAPTER Detailed Report Information
The following subsections describe the fields displayed in the STATUS ADAPTER
detailed report, such as the one shown in Example 4-1 on page 4-3. The first line of
the report displays the name of the adapter whose detailed status was requested.
Adapter Information
The following information is listed in the beginning of a detailed STATUS ADAPTER
report such as the one shown in Example 4-1 on page 4-3.
ServerNet Addressable Controllers:
The following information is listed for each SAC on the adapter in a detailed STATUS
ADAPTER report such as the one shown in Example 4-1 on page 4-3. This information
is primarily used for troubleshooting.
Location shows the physical location of the adapter (group, module, slot)
Number of SACs shows the number of SACs present in the adapter (up to 4 for a
6760 adapter)
Part ID shows the vendor number stored in the adapter
POST Result shows whether the power-on self-test (POST) passed
Power-1 shows whether power rail 1 has power on
Power-2 shows whether power rail 2 has power on
Revision Level shows the revision level of the adapter
Status shows whether the adapter is present
Tracking
Number
shows the vendor ID stored in the adapter
Vendor ID shows, when available, the manufacturer of the adapter
Subdevice identifies the SAC within the adapter.
Node Class shows the node class identifier for the SAC within the adapter.
Node ID shows the unique ServerNet node ID of the adapter.
Node Type shows the unique programming or protocol model for the ServerNet
node ID.
Pack Class shows the generic packetizer class of the ServerNet node in the
ServerNet node table.
Pack
Instance
shows the unique identity of multiple packetizers of the same type on
the adapter. Software uses this information to locate the packetizer in
the ServerNet node table.
POST Result shows whether the power-on self-test (POST) passed.
