Example: STATUS ADAPTER Detailed Report for
Disk Drives
Configured Devices: (group: n, module: n):
The following information is listed for all the configured devices associated with each
SAC listed in a detailed STATUS ADAPTER report such as the one shown in
Example 4-1 on page 4-3.
SAC ID shows the SAC ID address, which is used to locate a specific SAC in
the adapter.
SAC Type shows the protocol type of the SAC.
Side shows whether the SAC is accessed by the X fabric or the Y fabric.
Status shows whether the SAC is present.
Usage shows what type of device the SAC is currently supporting (the value
SCSI can mean a tape or an Open SCSI device).
Vendor ID shows, when available, the manufacturer of the adapter.
Slot shows the physical slot number of the adapter controlling the device
Name shows the configured name of the device accessed by this SAC
State shows the current SCF state of the device (an asterisk indicates that
the device path is in use)
Substate shows the current SCF substate of the device, if available
Primary PID shows the process identifier (processor number and PIN) of the
primary I/O process
Backup PID shows the process identifier (processor number and PIN) of the
backup I/O process
