Example: STATUS DISK Detailed Report
STATUS DISK Detailed Report Information
The following subsections describe the fields displayed by the STATUS DISK, DETAIL
command, such as the one displayed in Example 4-4 on page 4-10.
Disk Path Information:
The following disk path information is provided in a STATUS DISK, DETAIL report such
as the one shown in Example 4-4 on page 4-10.
General Disk Information:
The following general disk information is listed in a STATUS DISK, DETAIL report such
as the one displayed in Example 4-4 on page 4-10.
LDev shows the logical device number for the disk drive. This number
is arbitrarily assigned when you configure the disk drive and
every time the system is loaded.
Path shows the disk drive path assignment.
Status shows whether the path is the current path (ACTIVE) or not
(INACTIVE).
State shows the current SCF state of the disk drive path. For a
description of SCF states, see the SCF Reference Manual for
the Storage Subsystem.
Substate shows the current SCF substate of the disk drive path.
Primary PID shows the process identifier (processor number and PIN) of the
primary process.
Backup PID shows the process identifier (processor number and PIN) of the
backup process.
Device Type shows the device type. Magnetic disks are always type 3.
Device Subtype shows the device subtype of the disk. This value varies by
model and is retrieved from the device.
Primary Drive Type shows the product number of the primary disk drive. This
value is retrieved from the device. The values of the Primary
Drive Type and Mirror Drive Type must be the same (except
when the disk drives are being upgraded to a larger
capacity). For information about upgrading disk drives
online, see the SCF Reference Manual for the Storage
Subsystem.
Mirror Drive Type shows the product number of the mirror disk drive. This
value is retrieved from the device.
Physical Record
Size
shows the size of the physical records on the disk. This
value is retrieved from the device.
