Adapters
Plug-in cards (PICs) fit onto the common base board (CBB) of the CCSA.
You must purchase at least one SS7TE, SS7TE1, SS7TE2, or SS7TE3 to enable SS7
capabilities on the CCSA.
For specific information about the supported OC INS software (product number
T8718), PIC functions, and currently supported RVUs please contact your account
representative.
The types of PICs supported for installation on a CCSA are:
To view part numbers, from the home page of the NonStop Technical Library (NTL),
select Support and Service > Service Information > Part Numbers.
The two versions of the CCSA are functionally identical:

CCSA, product number 6763
•
CCSA-2, product number 6763-2
The 6763 CCSA supports the following combinations of PICs:
•
Two SS7TE3s. The other PIC slots must be empty
•
One SS7TE3 and up to three SS7TE, SS7TE1 or SS7TE2 PICs in any
combination or location
•
Zero SS7TE3 PICs and up to four SS7TE, SS7TE1, or SS7TE2 PICs in any
combination or location.
•
Can be replaced with either a CCSA or a CCSA-2
The 6763-2 CCSA-2:
PIC Provides...
SS7TE Support for the EIA-449, V.35, X.21, EIA-232 interfaces.
Replaced by the SS7TE1 PIC. This PIC is not supported on
NonStop NS-series servers.
SS7TE1 Support for the EIA-449, V.35, X.21, EIA-232 interfaces.
Replaces the SS7TE PIC. This PIC is not supported on
NonStop NS-series servers
SS7TE2 Support for the DS0 level T1, E1, or J1 interfaces.
SS7TE3 Support for the 10Base-T and 100Base-T Ethernet
interfaces.
SS7TE3 Support for the 10Base-T and 100Base-T Ethernet and for
the DS1 level T1, E1, or J1 interfaces.
