Add and Start the CCSA Using SCF
Add and Start the CCSA Using SCF
With your completed CCSA configuration form as a guide, use the SCF interface to the
SLSA subsystem to add and start the CCSA.
Adding and Starting the CCSA
1. Using the information recorded on the configuration form, add the CCSA by using
the SLSA subsystem SCF ADD ADAPTER command as follows:
ADAPTER adapter-name
specifies the name to be assigned to the adapter. The names that the
SLSA subsystem assigns to the SACs and PIFs are based on the name
you assign to the adapter. For example, if you assign the name C2153 to a
CCSA, the SACs on the adapter are named C2153.0 and C2153.1. The
PIF names are C2153.0.A, C2153.0.B, C2153.1.A, and C2153.1.B. (Refer
to your completed configuration form.)
LOCATION (group, module, slot)
identifies the adapter in terms of its location in the system using the
group number (of the system enclosure).
module number (subset of a group). The module number is always 01
in NonStop S-series system enclosures.
slot number (physical, labeled space in a module).
(Refer to your completed configuration form.)
ACCESSLIST (n0 , n1,. . ., n15 )
specifies the processors allowed to access the SAC subordinate to the
specified adapter. You can specify up to 16 processors in the access list.
(Refer to your completed configuration form.) The processors do not have
to be in the same cabinet as the adapter.
Note. Refer to the LAN Configuration and Management Manual for detailed information about
the SLSA subsystem SCF commands.
->ADD ADAPTER $ZZLAN.adapter-name , TYPE CCSA, LOCATION
(group, module, slot), ACCESSLIST (n0, n1, ... , n15)
Note. The number of PIFs and LIFs you have depends on the number of PICs that
you installed on your adapter. Since there are four PIFs and LIFs for each PIC, if you
have all four PICs (as in this example), you should have 16 PIFs and 16 LIFs.
