Redirect or Stop Any Applications Using the CCSA
Before continuing with this procedure, ensure that stopping your CCSA will not cause
problems for applications using the adapter. Refer to your application guides to stop
the applications before terminating their links.
Determine the Physical Location of the CCSA
Use the SCF INFO ADAPTER command to determine the physical location of a CCSA
(see Example 3-1). Scan the command’s output for the CCSAs group, module, and
slot location.
INFO ADAPTER $ZZLAN.adapter-name
In the example above, note that the CCSA named C2153 is located in group 21,
module 01, slot 53.
Note. The actions required to perform this step depend on the applications using the adapter.
Example 3-1. SCF INFO ADAPTER Command
-> INFO ADAPTER $ZZLAN.C2153
SLSA Info ADAPTER
Name Group Module Slot Type
$ZZLAN.C2153 1 1 53 CCSA
Note. If CCSA adapters are named using the HP Manufacturing naming convention, you can
easily identify the physical location of the CCSA by its name as follows:
Cgroupid-slot#
where groupid is the 2-digit number that identifies the group and slot is the actual physical
slot number in the enclosure. For example, the CCSA named C2153 is located in group 21,
slot 53 (see Manufacturing Naming Conventions for SLSA SCF Objects
on page 1-6).
