Then . . .
The only tape drive on the bus
Be sure to use a SCSI ID 5 for the
tape drive. The SCSI ServerNet
addressable controller (SAC)
supports copper cables only
(G06.XX and earlier).
Terminate the bus by installing a
terminator on the last SCSI device.
Note: When there is more than one drive on the bus, each drive
must have a different SCSI ID setting.
7.4.2 Changing the SCSI ID
To change the SCSI ID locate the push-button switch on the rear of
the drive. Press the switch button(s) above or below the number
display (0-7) to set the desired SCSI ID. Press the top button to
increase the number or press the bottom button to decrease the
number. The best tool to use is a bent paper clip.
Caution
Never use a pencil to set the ID switch on the 5155/5159.
The lead will break off while trying to set the ID.
7.5 Connect the Cables
Section 2.5 describes the physical connections of the 5155/5159,
including the Rear Panel layout, SCSI cable connections, SCSI bus
termination and Power connections.
