Example 1: Defining and Adding a Tape Drive
Use the SCF ADD TAPE command to define and add a 5155/5159
tape drive to the system configuration.
Before issuing the ADD TAPE command, insure that the tape
drive is installed properly.
The following example adds a 5155/5159 Digital Linear Tape FRU,
“$TAPE0” to the system configuration.
->ADD TAPE $TAPE0, SENTO STORAGE, LOCATION (1,1,55),&
->PRIMARYCPU 0, BACKUPCPU 1,
The following are notes about this example:
The LOCATION attribute specifies the location (group,
module, and slot) of the PMF CRU (adapter) to which the tape
drive is attached.
The PRIMARYCPU attribute specifies the processor in which
the primary tape process should execute.
The BACKCPU attribute specifies the processor in which the
tape process starts its backup process.
The PRODUCT attribute specifies the product number that
identifies the model of the tape drive.
Note: Use the product number 5190 when configuring the
5155/5159 Digital Linear Tape subsystem.
