Configuring the 6760 ServerNet/DA and Attached Devices 8-5
Subdevice identifies the physical location of the SAC within
the adapter. There can be up to four SACS installed
on the 6760 adaper, and this number is determined
automaticallly by the position of the SAC in the
adapter (location 1, 2, 3, or 4).
Usage shows the type of device controlled by SAC.
8.4.2.3 Configured Devices (group: n, module: n):
The following information is listed in a detailed report such as the
one displayed in Figure 8-1 for each configured device on the
adapter.
Slot shows the slot number of the adapter controlling the
device.
Type shows the type of the device.
Name shows the configured name of the device. The
name of a disk includes a suffix that denotes
whether it is the primary or mirror disk.
Primary CPU shows the configured primary processor for the
device.
Backup CPU shows the configured backup processor for the
device.
Device shows the configured ID of the device. For a single
Target ID tape drive connected to a SAC, this value must
always be 5. If two tape drives are daisy-chained to
the same SAC, the values must be 4 or 5. For some
tape drives, using the control panel of the tape drive
sets this value.
