8.7 Troubleshooting Configuration Problems
If a 6760 adapter is not properly configured after it has been
installed it in a slot, use the SCF INFO ADAPTER command to
determine whether the slot is already configured for a different
adapter.
If the configuration of an adapter and its devices appears to be
correct, but the attached devices are not functioning properly, there
might be a hardware problem.
8.7.1 Troubleshooting After Installing a 6760 Adapter
If hardware problems are suspected after the 6760 adapter has been
installed, do the following:
1. Use the Tandem Service Management (TSM) package to
check the hardware. See the next topic, Using TSM to
Check the Adapter Hardware.
2. Use the SCF STATUS ADAPTER, DETAIL command to
check the status of all paths to the adapter and its attached
devices.
3. Use the SCF INFO ADAPTER, DETAIL command to
verify proper configuration.
