8.7.4 Determining the Name of a Device
If the physical location of an external device is known but the
name is not, issue the SCF INFO ADAPTER, DETAIL command
for the adapter to which the device is physically connected. For
example, if the tape is in a tope module that is connected to the
adapter in slot 53 of the group1 enclosure, issue this command:
-> INFO ADAPTER $ZZSTO.#SNDA.GRP-1.MOD-1.SLOT-53, DETAIL
This command displays the configuration of the adapter and of all
devices attached to the adapter. The slot numbers for the disk
drives are indicated in the Device Target ID field.
