START MON Considerations
Before using the START MON command, consider the following:
Before using the START MON command, verify that:
The MON name specified must have a configuration record (can be
displayed using the INFO command).
The NonStop Transaction Manager/MP (TM/MP) product must be
running on the system.
The volume specified as the CATALOGLOCATION for the MON
process must be in the STARTED state, and must be enabled by the
NonStop Transaction Manager/MP (TM/MP) product.
Use the STATUS command to verify that the MON process has been
started.
The MON process must be in the STARTED state in order to carry out
most commands for virtual disks and for storage pool processes.
If the MON process is in the SERVICING state, use the RESET MON
command followed by START MON to restart the MON process.
