STOP Command Syntax 
The syntax for the STOP command is: 
STOP [ /OUT file-spec/ ] [ object-spec ] 
[ , FORCED ] 
[ , POOL $ pool-name ] 
[ , SEL state ] 
[ , SUB { ALL | MAGNETIC | VIRTUAL } ] 
OUT file-spec 
directs all SCF output generated for this command to the specified 
file. 
FORCED 
specifies that the command should be executed without any 
interaction with the user, even if there are files open on the device. 
SCF will not prompt the operator for confirmation. 
POOL $pool-name 
(DISK object only) specifies that the STOP DISK command should 
be performed only on disks in the specified storage pool. 
SEL state 
specifies that the command should be applied only to objects that 
are in the specified state. 
SUB { ALL | MAGNETIC | VIRTUAL } 
(DISK object only) specifies that only disks of this specific type 
should be stopped. The default value for the attribute SUB is ALL.
