The MFC RS-232/SCSI BIC has a 50-pin connector for
communicating with the cartridge tape drive through a cable.
Figure 5-2 shows the MFC logic board and BIC.

5.8 Copper Cable
Copper cable connects the MFC RS-232/SCSI BIC to a SCSI port
9710 ACS patch panel. The MFC permits cable lengths of 3.1
meters (10 feet) and 7.7 meters (25 feet). Table 5-5 lists the copper
cable product and part numbers.
