6.4 Configuring the Subsystem Online Using COUP
Use the Configuration Utility Program (COUP) to configure a
T16/5155/5159 DLTtape Drive FRU dynamically--that is, without
having to create a new system image and load it. COUP is the user
interface to the Dynamic System Configuration (DSC) utility.
COUP allows some parts of the system configuration to be changed
online, reducing the need to stop system operations to reconfigure.
Members of the super group (255,n) can use COUP to perform
online I/O reconfiguration from any connected terminal. Using
COUP, the following can be done:
