in the system configuration
Stop the I/O process for a tape drive

Obtain information about the current configuration.
Note: Always use the product code 5190 when configuring the
T16/5155/5159 DLTtape Drive FRU.
This subsection provides examples of configuring tape controllers
and cartridge tape drives using COUP. The examples show how to
define and add a controller and subsystem to a system
configuration, start the subsystem, and remove the subsystem from
the system. See the Dynamic System Configuration (DSC) Manual
for a complete list of supported devices and for more information
about COUP.
CAUTION
Before using COUP, always make backup copies of the original
OSIMAGE and OSCONFIG files.
6.4.1 Example 1: Defining and Adding a 3216 Logical Controller to
an MFC
To attach the T16/5155/5159 DLTtape Drive FRU to a
multifunction controller (MFC), and to add the subsystem-using
COUP, first locate the MFC to be used. Then COUP can be used
to define and add a 3216 logical tape controller to that MFC.
