NODROPRTS or DROPRTS — AM and TR
NODROPRTS or DROPRTS — AM and TR
This modifier specifies that the request-to-send signal is not dropped when switching
from a write to a read operation. (Used in a constant carrier, continuous carrier, or
point-to-point connection.)
DROPRTS specifies that the request-to-send signal is dropped when switching from a
write to a read operation. This action is appropriate for those terminal devices that do
not monitor the line until they drop their RTS lead (half-duplex operations on a full-
duplex line.) Use of this modifier adds a small amount to response time.
NOLOAD — AM and TR
This modifier specifies that the AM or TR line is not downloaded after a coldload.
NOREADCOMMAND or READCOMMAND — TR Only
The READCOMMAND modifier specifies that TR3271 accepts the IBM 3270 READ
BUFFER and READ MODIFIED commands, and returns these commands as text to
complete a file-system READ request. The default is NOREADCOMMAND.
