TIMEOUT
TIMEOUT
The TIMEOUT attribute specifies the time interval that the I/O process will wait for
a response to a request before retrying the request. The range of values is 0
through 5:27.67.
TRANSLATE
The TRANSLATE attribute specifies whether characters will be translated before
being transmitted to the line or after being received from the line.
XLATEIN creates a translate table for inbound data. This table is used only when
TRANSLATE is On. If this attribute is used to define a translate table, all 256 bytes
must be specified.
XLATEOUT creates a translate table for outbound data. This table is used only
when TRANSLATE is On. If this attribute is used to define a translate table, all 256
bytes must be specified. See also the XLATEIN and XLATEOUT attributes for
information about the translate tables.
TRANSPARENT
The TRANSPARENT attribute enables or disables transparent-text mode for an
individual subdevice or line. This attribute is valid only when the line is configured
with the EBCDIC character set and transparent-text mode.
Default: 350 (3.5 seconds) for AM3270. 270 (2.7 seconds) for
TR3271.
