Notation Conventions

Access the main help interface by selecting Download OSM Help from the
Help menu on the OSM toolbar.

OSM Migration Guide
This guide introduces the NonStop OSM Interface. It is intended for anyone who
uses OSM to monitor or service an Integrity NonStop NS-series server. It describes
OSM requirements; how to migrate from TSM to OSM; and how to install,
configure, and start OSM components and processes.

OSM Low-Level Link application online help
Online help for the OSM LLL application, which is a component of the OSM
software that enables you to communicate with a server when the NonStop OS is
not running, as long as both the server and the workstation have power. When the
operating system is running, you usually communicate with the server using the
OSM Service Connection. However, some operations on a running server require
that you use the OSM LLL. To start the operating system on a server, you use the
OSM LLL.

OSM Notification Director application online help
Online help for the OSM Notification Director application, which is a component of
the OSM software. The OSM Notification Director receives notifications and
incident reports from the server, displays them, and allows you to take action or
forward the incident reports to your service provider for resolution.

OSM Event Viewer application online help
Online help for the OSM Event Viewer application, which is a component of the
OSM software that lets you set up criteria to view log files in several ways, enabling
you to rapidly assess service problems. The OSM Event Viewer is launched from
within the OSM LLL and the OSM Service Connection.

OSM Service Connection application online help
Online help for the OSM Service Connection application, which is a component of
the OSM software that enables you to communicate with a NonStop server when
the NonStop OS is running. When the NonStop OS is not running, communication
must take place using the OSM LLL.
