Monitoring an AM3270 and TR3271 Subsystem
The WAN subsystem SCF commands that are relevant to AM3270/TR3271
configuration are described in Section 3, Configuring the AM3270 and TR3271
Subsystems.
For detailed information about the functions of the WAN subsystem, refer to the WAN
Subsystem Configuration and Management Manual.
Monitoring an AM3270 and TR3271 Subsystem
The AM3270 and TR3271 subsystems support a variety of utilities and tools to assist in
monitoring the subsystem.
Distributed Systems Management (DSM)
Distributed Systems Management (DSM) provides an architecture and standard
interfaces that enable you to build new applications and subsystems. DSM provides
products, some of which are standard on the NonStop S-series server and Integrity
NonStop NS-series server, and others optional.
Subsystem Control Facility (SCF)
The Subsystem Control Facility is a standard DSM interface that can be used
interactively to control, configure, and monitor the AM3270/TR3271 subsystem. The
SCF interface for the AM3270/TR3271 subsystem is described later on in this manual.
