Open System Management (OSM)
Event Management Service (EMS)
The Event Management Service is a standard DSM interface that provides event
collection, logging, and distribution facilities. The AM3270/TR3271 subsystem reports
events to EMS. AM3270/TR3271 subsystem events are described in the Operator
Messages Manual.
Open System Management (OSM)
The OSM package is a client/server application that provides troubleshooting,
maintenance, and service tools for the NonStop S-series server and the Integrity
NonStop NS-series server. OSM consists of software components that run on the
server and on a PC-compatible system console. The OSM software on the system
console features an easy-to-use graphic user interface (GUI) that contains extensive
online help.
