Examples of the ALTER Command
The attribute-spec for an SU object is one of the following attribute name and
value combinations. The attributes are listed alphabetically and described in Section 6,
Attribute Descriptions for AM3270 and TR3271.
Examples of the ALTER Command
The following command alters the location of the download program of line $AM3270:
ALTER LINE $AM3270, PROGRAM $SYSTEM.T9371G03.C0039P00
The following command alters the protocol of subdevice $AM3270.#TERM1:
ALTER SU $AM3270.#TERM1, PROTOCOL CRT
BOOT Command
The BOOT command prepares a programmable controller for loading. The specified
line must be in the STOPPED summary state when this command is issued. The line is
left in the STOPPED summary state after the command has finished processing. This
is a sensitive command.
Considerations for the BOOT Command

This command resets Communications Line Interface Processor (CLIP) software.
•
The SUB and SEL options are not supported.
•
The execution of the BOOT command has no effect on the CAP copy of the line
statistics (that is, the line statistics are not reset).
Command Syntax for the BOOT Command
The BOOT command has the following syntax:
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file.
