SWITCH Command
SWITCH Command
The SWITCH command causes a backup path to become the primary path and the
primary path to become the backup path. This is a sensitive command.
Considerations for the SWITCH Command

The SUB and SEL options are not supported.
•
For details about the different effects of the SWITCH command, refer to the SCF
Reference Manual for G-Series RVUs or the SCF Reference Manual for the
Storage Subsystem.
Command Syntax for the SWITCH Command
The SWITCH command has the following syntax:
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file.
LINE line-name
designates the line to be switched. If you omit line-name, SCF switches the
assumed object.
PATH { A | B | a | b }
causes the specified line or process to switch to the other path.
Example of the SWITCH Command
The following command causes the line $AM3270 to switch to PATH A:
SWITCH LINE $AM3270, PATH A
SWITCH [ / OUT file-spec / ]
[ LINE line-name ] , PATH { A | B | a | b }
