COMMANDS AND RESPONSES
ALTER Command
ZCONSL-MSG A Boolean variable that specifies whether the
slowpoll message is printed on the console.
If the value is ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, the message is
printed on the console. If the value is ZSPI-
VAL-FALSE, the message is not printed on the
console. The default value is ZSPI-VAL-TRUE.
ZCTL-RTS A Boolean variable that specifies whether the
Carrier Detect (CD) signal is dropped before
the Request To Send (RTS) signal is raised.
If the value is ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, CD is dropped
before RTS is raised. If the value is ZSPI-
VAL-FALSE, CD is not dropped before RTS is
raised. The default value is ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
ZCTL-SET An enumerated value that specifies the bisyn-
chronous control set. The value ZAM3-VAL-
CONTROL-SET-ASCII indicates that the ASCII
control set will be used. The value ZAM3-VAL-
CONTROL-SET-EBCDIC indicates that the EBCDIC
control set will be used. The default value
is ZAM3-VAL-CONTROL-SET-EBCDIC.
ZDEBUG A Boolean variable that enables the CLIP DEBUG
interface. If the value is ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, the
interface is enabled. If the value is ZSPI-
VAL-FALSE, the interface is not enabled. The
default value is ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
ZDROP-RTS A Boolean variable that specifies whether the
Request To Send (RTS) signal is dropped when
the software switches from a write operation
to a read operation. If the value is ZSPI-
VAL-TRUE, the signal will be dropped when
switching operations. If the value is ZSPI-
VAL-FALSE, the RTS signal will not be dropped.
The default value is ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
ZEOT-IF-NO-READ A Boolean variable that specifies whether
the AM3270 subsystem sends an end-of-text
(EOT) character when it receives text from a
subdevice that does not have a read outstand-
ing. If the value is ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, the
subsystem sends the EOT. If the value is
ZSPI-VAL-FALSE, the subsystem sends a Reverse
Interrupt (RVI) instead. Whenever a subdevice
sends text without a read outstanding, the
subsystem discards the text. The default
value is ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
