About This Manual
This manual describes the ASAP Extension product, ASAPX.
ASAPX is part of the ASAP product, which provides a network-wide system monitoring,
statistics collection, and presentation infrastructure for the HP NonStop Kernel
operating system.
Using ASAP, you can monitor the performance of Application, CPU, Disk, Expand, File,
Node, Process, ProcessBusy, RDF, Spooler, System, Tape, and TMF entities. If you
install the optional ASAP Extension, ASAP also reports application statistics and
service-level objectives.
This manual is intended for system operators and system administrators who need to
use ASAPX and for programmers who need to instrument applications to use ASAPX.
ASAP requires the D42 RVU or G06 or later. Knowledge of the NonStop Kernel
operating system is recommended for system operators and administrators.
Programmers should also have a working knowledge of TAL, C, or COBOL.
