buf
is the first word of the received request message.
count
is the length of the message, in bytes.
pid
is the requester’s process ID.
Cause. An invalid request was received.
Effect. The system did not process the request.
Recovery. Retry the request. If the request is valid but still does not work, contact your
HP representative.

charoffset
offset of the message that was not recognized
Cause. The startup message syntax is not correct.
Effect. The system did not process the startup request.
Recovery. Reset the startup parameters. Change the startup parameters in the ASAP
configuration file. If the problem persists, contact your HP representative.

Cause. The terminal logfile was not opened.
Effect. The system could not start up.
Recovery. Check your configured terminal file name. The SET TERM command
displays information about your terminal.
