command used to display ProcessBusy data in the ASAP CI.
RANK
A synonym for the GOAL command.
RATE
The ASAP rate defines the time interval at which ASAP wakes up to re-
compute attribute values for each of its entities. By default this value is set to
5 minutes, but it can be as low as 1 minute or as high as 60 minutes. There is
a master ASAP Rate which applies to all entities. There is also a specific
Rate that can be set on a by-entity basis that overrides the master rate. For
example, you might set the master ASAP rate to 5 minutes, but could decide
that you only need to evaluate Files every 30 minutes, so ASAP provides the
ability to override the master rate for each entity.
RDF
The name of the RDF entity and also the command used to display RDF data
in the ASAP CI.
RDL
An acronym for the Relation Definition Language. RDL is a subset of EDL
that tells ASAP how sub-entities like those found in TCP/IP and Telserv relate
to each other.
SET
A command that sets configuration options for ASAP. SET commands are
usually contained in the ASAPCONF configuration file.
SGP
An acronym for an ASAP Smart Gatherer Process. There is usually one
ASAP SGP for each subsystem (entity) that you monitor. The SGP is
responsible for communicating or evaluating the subsystem it monitors to
determine the state of its objects (domains) and the values for the attributes
that describe the objects. When you choose to SET TMF ON, for example,
you are telling ASAP to start the ASAP TMF SGP to communicate with TMF
and determine its status and statistics, and to then report them to the ASAP
collector.
SYNC
The SYNC command tells ASAP to synchronize time on the systems where it
executes.
SYSTEM
The name of the System entity and also the command used to display Expand
system data in the ASAP CI.
TAPE
The name of the Tape entity and also the command used to display TAPE
data in the ASAP CI.
TCP
The prefix used for the TCP/IP sub-entities and also the command used to
display TCP and Telserv data in the ASAP CI.
Telserv
The prefix used for the Telserv sub-entities.
TMF
The name of the TMF entity and also the command used to display TMF data
in the ASAP CI.
