window to display the entity you selected. The OIL view becomes even more useful when
you can navigate down to domains (objects) within each entity. You turn that capability on
using the Properties sheet, which is the main configuration window within ASAP Client. To
bring up the Properties sheet, click on the toolbar button pointed to by the bright green arrow
or select View->Options from the top window menu. Figure 2 illustrates the Properties
sheet.

To populate the OIL tree with objects click on the OIL tab as shown by the red arrow, mark
the “Populate OIL with Objects” selection, then click the Apply button. Now you can use the
OIL to navigate down to display each individual domain (object) within an entity.
With the Properties sheet still open on your workstation, let’s now configure a few more
items to make your ASAP Client configuration match your ASAP Server configuration. First,
click on the Entity tab (see Figure 3.) That will show the list of Entities that are enabled on
the Client. When an entity is enabled, ASAP Client will retrieve data for that entity and
display it. If you started an entity that isn’t on by default (for example RDF) when you
configured ASAP Server then you need to enable those entities on the Entity tab.
Scroll down through the list of entities and select those which you decided to turn on when
you configured ASAP Server using the ASAPWIZ configuration wizard, and turn off any that
you did not configure to be on when you configured ASAP Server.
